Sailing Courses for Youth

Beginner
Our Beginner courses introduce young sailors to the fundamentals of sailing.
Our Adventure Week is designed for the beginners new to the sport to foster an appreciation for enjoyment and safety on the water in a supervised and educational setting.
Our two week sessions expand on the these fundamentals as students learn more about the parts of a sailboat, and basic sailing techniques, while developing an understanding of, speed control, boat handling, and navigation on the water.

Experienced
This course builds on foundational skills learned as a beginner, focusing on navigation, wind patterns, and enhanced sailing maneuvers. Participants will gain confidence and independence as they explore the open water and tackle more challenging sailing experiences. They are also introduced to skipper and crew teamwork,
A separate one week "Intro to Racing" class is offered that allows the student to participate in an interclub event and learn first hand about racing rules and protocol.

Racing
Our racing program is open to all experienced students at all levels of skill. This places the young sailor in a competitive environment in fleets and boats with youth of similar skill sets. Racing cultivates proficiency and refines skills through interclub regattas and sailing events. Participants will begin to engage in, and master, advanced techniques, racing strategies, and leadership training, fostering a deep commitment to sailing excellence and the Corinthian spirit.
