NSJS Tell Tale Report for Oct. 2025

Things are winding down on the water but we have a busy month ahead over here on dry land. Well, mostly dry as we dodge a few raindrops.

We have our silent auction coming up at the end of Fall Series during the Oktoberfest, 10/18. Bidding will be open from 9am to 8pm when we will announce our winners. We have gathered some donations of beautiful hand crated items from some generous NSSC members. We also have a Jimmy John’s ball game package and an assortment of gift baskets with fine wines to choose from among the items available to bid on.

We would love to show off more of our club members’ hand crafted items and would greatly appreciate additional donations of gift cards, lottery tickets, and any other items that would make nice additions to bid on. Wine donations (only wine per our MLCC license, no beer or spirits) need to be received by October 5th. We are here to accept donations on Fall Series Sundays or drop them off in the office.

Let’s be sure to cheer on Mike Koch on October 19^th as he runs 26.2 miles in the Detroit Marathon to support Junior Sailing. Go Mike Go! May you have a tail wind the whole way!

Also on October 25th, when you’re ready to take a break, come visit Junior Sailing’s table and grab a bag of popcorn at the Harrison Twp. Hallowpallooza from noon to 3pm at the Tucker Senior Center at 26980 Ballard St. Come in your finest witch regalia for a chance at the costume contest.

Thank you to all those that registered for the Friday Fun Sails! We will be handing out your skipper bags at the Haul Out party, November 7th.
